Could a skilled volunteer assist your organisation on a project or as a Board or Committee member?

Then come along to the Skilled Volunteer Meet!

Join us at this networking event to launch the Boroondara Volunteer Skills Bank, an exciting new initiative of the City of Boroondara connecting community organisations with skilled professionals.

Guest speakers

Tim Costello, Chief Advocate, World Vision Australia

Rosemary Chapple, Boroondara 2017 Volunteer of the Year

Community organisations will:

  • meet skilled professionals who can volunteer on projects you may lack the time or skills to undertake

  • connect with Boroondara residents who want to contribute their skills and experience as a Board or Committee member

  • be part of the launch of the Boroondara Volunteer Skills Bank.

Is this event for my community organisation?

Your organisation will be eligible to participate if you are based in the City of Boroondara or surrounding areas and:

  • have at least one project for a skilled volunteer or a vacancy on your Board or Committee

  • have a volunteer opportunity accessible from home or within 10km of the City of Boroondara

  • are a member of the BVRC with up-to-date public liability and personal accident insurance. Not a member? Join here.

Do I need to have a skilled volunteer role to promote at the event?

Yes! In order to attend, community organisations are to email the BVRC an overview of at least one project or role for a skilled volunteer or information about a vacancy on your Board or Committee prior to the event by 13 October.
